The war in Yemen has had a severe impact on men, women, and children alike with many still finding themselves displaced and fearing for their lives.
Out of every 100 people in Yemen, 70 have almost nothing to eat. 66 have no access to health care. 58 are without clean water. 15 are severely malnourished.
Although Yemenis have been coming to faith in Christ, they are relatively small in number compared to the population. Statistically, the number of national believers would account to less than 0.1% and each believer faces intense pressure to conform and return to Islam or keep their faith silent.
Matthew 10:23 says, ‘When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next.’ Through the help of our local partners, local believers are doing just this, and in so doing they are forming churches in various parts of the country.
