This fund has been set up in memory of a remarkable, grace-filled and humble follower of Jesus who served the Lord faithfully before passing into glory at the age of twenty-seven. She was affectionately known as MaYa (her Arabic name) to many people.
Melody was born in North Africa, was raised speaking Arabic, French and English and devoted her life to making Jesus known to those around her.
Melody, along with her husband, invested in young people, encouraged and nurtured new believers and were passionate about seeing disciples make disciples in their part of North Africa.
One of Melody’s favourite Bible verses captures how she approached her life and ministry and how she would like to be remembered.
‘But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’ Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
Donations to this fund will be used to help short and mid-term financial needs related to the bereavement and to bless ministries that were close to Melody’s heart.
Witnessing, discipling, media ministries & church-planting. We're passionate about initiating church-planting movements among the unreached in the Arab world.
An English speaker might say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder', that we are the 'apple of her eye', or perhaps even that we have a face that 'only a mother could love'!
As this Arab idiom suggests, we are thankful today for the (often optimistic) love of our mothers!
Businesses can be an amazing platform for ministry, providing opportunities to meet local people, contribute to society, and to be examples of the honesty and integrity that Jesus wants from us.
Pray today for a team in North Africa who are starting a business. 🙏
The small number of Christians in south Morocco face many challenges — this is especially true for those married to non-Christians. Please pray for them to be bold in their witness to their spouses, and for God to draw them to Himself. 🙏
Lailat al Bara'a is one of several Muslim festivals celebrated on the 15th of Shabeen. For those observing the Night of Forgiveness, this is an opportunity to pray for their sins and commemorate the dead.
Pray for Muslims to see the truth that forgiveness is found through Christ.
