CHURCH APPEAL: Sending out more workers

Can your church play a vital role in sending out a new generation of workers and keep experienced cross-cultural workers on the mission field?

We are launching an appeal to encourage churches to help send out workers into God’s harvest field. Whether it’s because of a high cost of living, coming from an Arab nation to serve among their own people group in Europe, or the financial impact of the pandemic, many workers serving and seeking to serve in the Arab world are in need of more financial support. People we are mentoring towards mission are needing to spend more time raising sufficient funds to enable them to go. Those already in active service are considering having to return home for a time or leaving the mission field altogether.

But you and your church can help.

Sending workers demonstrates God’s compassion

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’ – Matthew 9:35-38

Jesus was moved by compassion for the crowds in need of spiritual guidance, so He told the disciples to pray for more workers to be sent out. At the end of the gospel, Jesus commissions them and generations of Christian workers down the centuries to follow in their footsteps.

Your support will demonstrate God’s compassion for the lost, as workers will then be released to bring the good news to those harassed and helpless among nations of the world today.

Sending workers expands your church’s ministry

As well as blessing fellow Christians and enabling others to pursue their calling, your church will be impacted in surprising ways as a result. By partnering with others in cross-cultural ministry, your church’s prayer life will be enriched as it’s exposed to how God is at work in different areas of the world and different styles of ministry.

Your support will open the eyes of many in your fellowship to new aspects of God’s Kingdom and extend the reach of your church’s impact on God’s world.
