OFFICE NEWS: He’s leaving!

After six years of serving as AWM-Pioneers National Director, Mark has sensed the time has come to step back from this role and follow a call from the Lord to new things.

‘Seize the opportunity to shape a generation for world mission’

Some highlights

In the August 2013 awmlink (after Mark had just started leading AWM-Pioneers), he shared that his ambition was ‘to seize the opportunity to shape a generation for world mission and particularly equip people for the Arab world.’ His passion to encourage people’s potential in Christ and develop a culture of family, led to developments in training, workshops on serving as ministry teams, and the hosting of two conferences to refresh our members and retirees spiritually. To God be the glory!

Message from the UK Council

As well as the usual role of keeping AWM-Pioneers before the UK Church and public (which he has done with energy, imagination and enthusiasm), Mark has also developed people in his time as National Director. He particularly sought to create an office team which is well trained, properly resourced, efficiently run, and serving utterly together for the support of our workers among Muslims of the Arab world wherever they may be found. The Council is hugely appreciative of Mark’s contribution to the mission family and sorry to see him go. We pray for God’s richest blessing on his future.

Rev Dr Ian Farley, Chair of Trustees

Looking ahead

Mark plans to remain in post until the end of January 2020 to help with a smooth handover. Please pray for God’s strengthening and leading in this time of transition.

While we at AWM-Pioneers are also looking to follow the Lord’s leading, please join us in praying for a fruitful recruitment process and for the UK Council to clearly discern the person of God’s choosing.
