EDITORIAL: Pray for a new church in North Africa

By Marie, Prayer Co-ordinator

God is bringing isolated, new believers together all across the Arab world. It’s exciting to see the birth of the Church in rural North Africa for example. A North African couple who are believers have settled in a major city following persecution for their faith. Another woman from the same nation recently fled with her daughter to that same city after suffering the same ordeal.

As well as providing refuge, we are sensing that the Lord is doing something in bringing these persecuted believers together in the capital. Would you pray for the Spirit to unite them in their common faith journeys, help them to be family to one another and become a haven for other persecuted believers from Muslim backgrounds?

Thank you for praying with us and standing with our teams in the Arab world. As you use the latest edition of our daily prayer guide, I hope you will be encouraged that God is at work as you discover the many answers to prayer that we are seeing in the lives of people of the Arab world.

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.’’
Acts 17:24 [NIV]

How will your prayers bless the Arab nations?
