CHRISTMAS APPEAL: Ambassadors of peace

There is turmoil in Yemen with millions at risk of famine. Millions of Syrians are still displaced. There are women and children rights abuses across the region.

Yet, Christmas reminds us that the person of Jesus was born into our broken world. God came announcing the Kingdom of God and a way to life in Christ.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (NIV UK)

To us a child is born

For the millions in the Arab world this is a message of much-needed hope. Jesus Christ brings peace. This Everlasting Father is dependable. God’s Word declares in Isaiah that He is more powerful than any government or forces of evil.

But, how will people in the Arab world hear this message if not through the lips and lives of followers of Jesus in the Arab world?

I shared the gospel with one of my friends and as she was open to learn more, we spent
time discussing her spiritual questions. Praise God that she has now accepted Christ!

Help send ambassadors of peace

In the footsteps of Christ, our workers are sent into the region as ambassadors of the good news. They go to meet both the physical needs and spiritual needs by compassionate service and culturally relevant ways of witness and discipleship among Arab people.

These ambassadors introduce the good news to people like Miriam who in turn passes it on to her networks, until communities are transformed.

To do this we need your financial support.

  •  £50 will help towards the flight cost for a mobiliser leading a short-term team to help our church-planting workers.
  •  £125 will help to cover the costs needed to run a long weekend of biblical and practical training in church planting among Arab Muslims.
  • £250 will cover the daily cost of a week-long cross-cultural ministry orientation for new workers preparing to serve among Arab peoples.

Please give generously so that more people in the Arab world will come to know the hope of Christ.
