VACANCY: Communications and Development Assistant



HOURS: Full-time, 37.5hours per week

We are a fast growing international mission movement with over 3,200 Christians involved in church-planting among unreached people groups.

We are seeking to enhance our Communications team and develop stronger relationships with our supporter base in the UK church as we raise the profile of how God is at work in the Arab world.

We are looking for an inspiring individual to fill a key full-time position within our UK office in Loughborough. You will have a passion for mission, creative and persuasive writing skills and confidence in developing new ideas.

Roles and responsibilities

Your role will work closely with our Assistant Director and Assistant Communications Manager. You will be responsible for sharing our content to inspire our supporters across all our communication channels.

The post will involve research and writing material for our website, supporter letters, quarterly magazine and quarterly appeal letters. There will also be opportunity to make valuable contributions to our future strategy in communications, particularly, in the areas of online presence and social media.

You will be joining an organisation committed to ongoing personal development with a passion to build Christ’s Church among Arab peoples.

Person specification

To fulfil this role, you will be someone with:

  • a vibrant Christian faith and a passion for mission
  • excellent written communication skills
  • the ability to write creatively and persuasively
  • the ability to present research and analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • an understanding of mission in a cross-cultural context
  • excellent interpersonal skills.

It is a genuine occupational requirement that you are a committed Christian and in full agreement with the aims and goals of AWM-Pioneers.
