Highlights of 2016

Celebration!

We’re celebrating lots of answered prayer across the mission family.

The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3

We love to launch into a new year of ministry by giving thanks for all that God has done among us in the last twelve months. Here is a snapshot of answered prayer in 2016 we are celebrating:

“I have recently believed in Christ as my Saviour, my King and my redeemer. He has changed my life and people around me have noticed. I have begun to follow Christ’s teachings and now there are some things I want to know. *Ibrahim from Saudi Arabia

Media team

– Received 3.8 million visitors to the Arabic internet ministry website.
– Enabled 81,000 Bibles to be downloaded free online.
– Encouraged the 150 people who turned to Christ last year through the media ministry.

Here is an example of someone reaching out to our media team for spiritual support.

Yemen Appeal

– Raised more than £80,000 to equip believers to serve Yemeni communities living through conflict and turmoil.

– Helped thousands of people through resourcing practical projects like water access, sanitation and shelter while providing spiritual support for Yemeni believers and seekers.

Syria Appeal

– Seen our appeal reach £150,000 in 2016, resourcing even more work among Syrian refugees in the Middle East.

Mission Mentoring

– Partnered with two churches sending a long-term worker to the Middle East for the first-time.
– Sent a short-term team to join a long-term ministry team in the Arabian Peninsula.

Looking forward

At AWM-Pioneers we are passionate about meeting physical and spiritual needs across North Africa, the Middle East and among Arab peoples around the world.

Despite the turmoil, God is at work in the region drawing people to Himself and invites the Church to join in and be part of it.
