Introducing people from other cultures to the living Lord may mean embracing new ventures.
What’s the difference between curry and chicken-in-a-sauce?
Not a lot, fundamentally. But I’ve yet to see anyone convince my grandma to eat a curry. Like many of us, she prefers sticking with the familiar rather than venturing into unknown territory.
One lunchtime, the Lord used a vision of unfamiliar, counter-cultural food items to speak powerfully to Peter. The conversion of Cornelius a few days later further changed the Apostle’s perception on the scope of the gospel. He became convinced that ‘God does not show favouritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him…’ (Acts 10:34-35).
You’ll read in the latest awmlink magazine snapshots of ‘people from every nation’ turning to Christ locally, nationally and globally.
I hope the interviews and insights will inspire you to take steps of faith. After all, introducing people from other cultures to the living Lord may mean embracing new ventures, learning new languages, and… even trying new flavours of chicken-in-a-sauce.
