Your gift today will enable people in the Arab world to encounter God’s love. It will touch the lives of those who earnestly seek Christ – but are currently unreached. People like Abe.
Abe* was the first in his community to turn to Jesus. This was the turning point.
On Saturday, Abe came to our house with several questions about the Bible, particularly what it says about prayer, fasting, and about Jesus being Lord. For many Muslims, Jesus being Lord is a large stumbling block. After we found responses in the gospels to Abe’s questions he then said:
Ok, what you are saying is true. My wife is also reading the Bible and she agrees that it is true, too. We now want to follow Jesus, and we will raise our children in this faith. I think I may be the first person in my tribe to ever become a Christian.
Dave, our worker in North Africa, had the privilege of leading Abe and his wife to Christ. But, what if Dave had never moved with his family to reach this unreached community?
The spiritual need across the region is staggering. There are 350 million people in the Arab world. Many people groups have little or no gospel witness. Currently, we only have 320 workers from across the Pioneers family serving in the region.
Our passion is to make disciples of Christ, like Abe, who in turn make further disciples in their communities.
In line with our vision to glorify God and prepare people for mission, we have set a prayer goal of mobilising and training 100 more people, like Dave.
We hope to mentor and equip them over the next three years through our Arab World Training Hub. With your partnership, more communities will get the opportunity to encounter God’s love in Christ.

How do mission workers stay the course when the challenges of the mission field arise?
In this Link Digital article, Pete* and Judy* reflect on where they found support when they faced challenges in their ministry in North Africa.
Equipping mission workers for their ministry is a key role of any mission agency. At AWM-Pioneers, we have developed specialised training to ensure that mission workers are equipped and supported at every stage of their journey. Want to know more?
'Mission agencies provide specialist experience of preparing members for global mission and appropriately sending them to ‘the field’.'
