Signposts to the Messiah

Imagine having John the Baptist round for dinner.

May their examples encourage you to point others to the Messiah.

The honey and locust starter could prove risky. The prophet’s direct style would probably offend everyone. The evening could be over before the desserts are served. But John’s approach was ideal for his incredible ministry in the gospels. The no-nonsense preacher stood out from the religious leaders of his day. His powerful message was the same to all his listeners. Repent. Be baptised. The Messiah is coming.

I hope that you are similarly stirred as you read our latest magazine (awmlink issue Feb 2014) and hear our contributors’ passion for God’s Kingdom. I am sure you’ll be challenged by Ali’s endurance, Chris’ ministry of prayer and Andrea’s deep love for Arab women. I pray that their examples encourage us all to radically follow God and point others to the Messiah.
