Jayne Says Farewell

Hello, this is AWM, Jayne speaking, how can I help…

If you have phoned our Loughborough office, it is likely that you have spoken to Jayne, the ‘friendly voice of AWM’. She has served supporters and workers for 20 years as a key member of the office team. At the end of July, she moved to Sweden as a result of her husband’s job being transferred.

Jayne’s passion for the work of AWM grew out of a desire to serve. She began volunteering in 1991 when a friend mentioned that our office team was looking for help. Jayne was studying bookkeeping at the time, and found her many skills appreciated by staff who entrusted her with more administration and finance tasks.

Jayne has worked for three National Directors and has felt connected to the whole AWM family:

I love the relationships that I have with our workers, I will miss the singing at office prayer times and other fellowship bits – as well as the routine things!

Her final thoughts for the office team:

Moving to Sweden was never my idea, but God has pushed me through every obstacle, so I am confident that he’s got good things in store for all of us. I’m sure that you will find someone to do all the things that you’ve let me do.

Jayne is much loved and will be sorely missed. We pray God’s guidance and protection for this new chapter of her life. Our loss is Sweden’s gain!

Gud välsigne dig (God bless you) Jayne!
